VERMONT TRAVEL GUIDELINES
VACCINATED INDIVIDUALS - NO QUARANTINE
Out of state travelers may attest that they have been vaccinated and at least 14 days have passed since they received their final vaccine dose. For these vaccinated individuals who have completed their COVID-19 vaccine regimen, they may travel to and from Vermont without needing to quarantine. The travel perk kicks in two weeks after Vermonters and out-of-state visitors have received both doses of vaccine.
NON-VACCINATED OUT OF STATE GUESTS
For all other individuals, The State of Vermont has instituted a mandatory quarantine for anyone returning or traveling to Vermont. However, completing this quarantine is simpler than it may sound. If you’re an out-of-state guest, choose one of the following options as you prepare your Burlington itinerary.
No matter which you choose, you’ll be asked to complete the State of Vermont’s Certificate of Compliance once you arrive in Burlington.
14-DAY PRE-ARRIVAL QUARANTINE OR 7-DAY PRE- ARRIVAL WITH TEST
f you plan to arrive in Vermont in your personal vehicle, you can complete a 14-day quarantine in your home with no testing needed. Alternatively you can complete a 7-day quarantine in your home followed by a negative test in your home state. Providing you complete the 14-day quarantine at home or the 7-day quarantine with a negative test result, you can visit Vermont without further restrictions.
POST-ARRIVAL QUARANTINE + TEST AT THE ESSEX
If you plan to arrive by plane or cannot quarantine before your trip to Vermont, this option is for you. You must quarantine for 7 days in your guest room at a Vermont lodging establishment like ours, and then receive a test. With a negative test result, you can continue with your Vermont adventure.
14-DAY POST-ARRIVAL QUARANTINE + NO TEST
If you quarantine for a full 14 days after your arrival without leaving your quarantine location for any reason, and you do not exhibit symptoms, you can continue your visit without taking a test.
